Job Title: Pediatric Occupational Therapist
Location: Finchley, London
Salary: £145 - £245 per day (DOE)
Contract: Full-time (term-time only)
Position Overview:
Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of children? We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our clients multidisciplinary team. In this role, you will work closely with children at both the primary and secondary school level, providing individualized therapy services to support their development and enhance their participation in school activities.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct assessments to evaluate students' functional abilities and develop targeted therapy goals.
• Provide individual and group therapy sessions to address areas such as executive functioning, sensory modulation, self-care skills, and vocational readiness.
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to support students' transition planning and goal attainment.
• Implement evidence-based interventions to promote skill development and participation in academic, social, and extracurricular activities.
• Advocate for inclusive practices and accessibility throughout the school environment.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
• HCPC Registration
• Experience working with children in a school or pediatric setting preferred.
• Knowledge of transition planning and vocational rehabilitation principles.
• Evidence of CPD in relevant areas of practice.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate and engage with students, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
Each candidate will be subject to a DBS and police check where required. A successful candidate will also provide at least two references from their previous employer/s.
