What you'll do

In this fast-paced role, you’ll be providing employment law and HR advice to your clients and taking ownership of complex or high risk employment law, employee relations or HR issues. You’ll need to understand each customer’s needs to provide commercial, fit for purpose advice and guidance on all aspects of the customer’s employment law and HR needs, and establish strong working relationships.

You’ll always make sure that any information, advice and guidance you provide is suitable, appropriate, technically correct, relevant and communicated in a clear way.

Day-to-day, you’ll be:

  • Managing ongoing cases and establishing relationships across a diverse portfolio of business clients and industry sectors
  • Making decisions on advice in relation to the risk evaluation for the client and the business
  • Identifying, accurately pricing and delivering additional consultancy and training services for customers over the phone or through video calling
  • Proactively supporting customers to identify pain points and address root causes in their business

The skills you'll need

Due to the nature of this role, you’ll need a professional qualification in employment law, HR or employee relations, at NVQ4, Diploma or degree level. You’ll have experience of providing advice on complex matters and be able to maintain high standards of quality and attention to detail.

You’ll also need:

  • Extensive experience in employment law, employee relations or HR
  • A strong background of identifying client needs, calling out risks and prioritising recommendations
  • The ability to identify root causes, business solutions and bespoke service offerings to customers
  • Good time management skills and the ability to work flexibly
