Description
The Family Support Worker (SO2) plays a crucial role in providing assistance and guidance to families facing various challenges in their home environments. This position is focused on empowering families by equipping them with the necessary resources and support to enhance their well-being and stability.The ideal candidate will have experience in social work or a related field and will work closely with families in crisis, offering tailored interventions that aim to improve their circumstances. Family Support Workers act as a bridge between families and community resources, advocating for their needs while promoting positive behaviors and healthy relationships.
This role also involves collaborating with various agencies and local community organizations to ensure families receive comprehensive support. You will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing service plans, and monitoring progress to ensure that families are on track to achieve their goals.

ResponsibilitiesConduct assessments of family needs and strengths to develop tailored support plans.
Provide direct support to families, including crisis intervention and counseling services.
Facilitate access to community resources and services that can assist families in need.
Monitor and evaluate the progress of families, adjusting service plans as necessary.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all family interactions and service provided.
Collaborate with other professionals and agencies to coordinate comprehensive service delivery.
Advocate for families within the community to ensure they receive the support they need.
RequirementsA degree in social work, psychology, or a related field is required.
Previous experience working with families and children in a supportive capacity is essential.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with families and stakeholders.
Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and understanding.
Knowledge of community resources available to support families in crisis.
Strong organizational skills for managing multiple cases and documentation efficiently.
A commitment to multi-agency working and collaboration to improve outcomes for families.
Hours Per Week: 35.00
Start Time: 09:00End Time: 17:30
Pay Per Hour: £19.95
