FJA are recruiting on behalf of a leading service provider in the utilities industry for an experienced M & E Site Manager to strengthen their Construction team.

Location: East Ayrshire, Scotland

M & E Site Manager role:

  • Overseeing and guiding the site team to ensure safe and efficient operations
  • Report directly to the Senior Project Manager and will be accountable for meeting project requirements in terms of health, safety, quality, environment, program, and budget.

M & E Site Manager responsibilities:

  • Prioritise community well-being and public safety throughout project implementation.
  • Manage, supervise, and mentor the site team as needed.
  • Adopt, maintain and promote cost conscious management through efficient use of all resources.
  • Ensure realistic project schedules are developed, reviewed, and updated regularly.
  • Manage the process of preparing, reviewing, discussing, and updating method statements and risk assessments
  • Submit 'as-constructed' records to the CDMC in a timely manner for inclusion in the Health and Safety File at the end of the project
  • Participate in required training programs for site management roles, including appointed person and temporary works

M & E Site Manager requirements:

  • Recognised civil engineering or site management qualifications.
  • A mechanical engineering background is desirable for this position.
  • Health, Safety, and Environmental Management qualification (e.g., IOSH, Construction Managers Safety Certificate).
  • CSCS Site Manager (minimum requirement).
  • First Aid at Work certification.
  • Experience in the water or wastewater treatment industry.
