Job Summary

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Account Management to lead the Account Management/Sales team for the Europe region in developing and implementing a comprehensive sales strategy, and enhance and foster customer relationships.

This role focuses on maximizing opportunities across all products and product lines, meeting company objectives, and achieving Profit & Loss goals and ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Regional Sales Management Strategy (30%)
  • Provide the vital leadership, support, and mentorship to ensure that the account sales strategy is aligned with the business direction and supports the accomplishment of the overall company objectives.
  • Direct the Sales and Account Management strategy, including planning and execution.
  • Identify, onboard, new customers
  • Develop regional plans and participate in both strategic and tactical planning.
Process Management (30%)
  • Take responsibility for regional sales Profit & Loss.
  • Establish and achieve sales growth and profitability targets for the region.
  • Drive cross-regional and functional improvement initiatives.
  • Manage regional team budget, sales strategic plan and sales forecasts and performance metrics
Client Relationship Management (20%)
  • Act as the regional lead for all customers in region supporting meetings as needed.
  • Focus on continuous improvement on the customer experience and build deeper relationship with key stakeholders at the airline.
  • Team Leadership (20%)
  • Lead a team of high performing account managers/sales leaders and ensure they have clarity of purpose and ownership.
  • Hire, lead, train, motivate, appraise, and develop Account Managers within the assigned region.

Qualifications:

Knowledge and Skill Requirements
  • Strong familiarity with the overall airlines and aviation markets.
  • Extensive experience dealing with airlines, with a well-established rapport and network, including contacts within major airlines’ procurement, engineering, marketing/product, and other relevant departments.
  • Thorough understanding of aviation product distribution and management systems in the regional airline and aviation market.
  • Proven track record in managing Profit & Loss and executing business strategies/plans for sales operations in the region.
  • Exceptional command of written and spoken English.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, persuasion, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to drive cross-regional and functional improvements.
  • Leadership experience in managing account management teams effectively.
  • Demonstrated success in direct sales across large and complex accounts.
  • Comprehensive understanding of customer issues and the ability to create compelling value propositions.
  • Knowledge of IFEC system architecture, GUI options, application functionality, and associated commercial and technical implications.
  • Advanced analytical skills to assess strategic business and product placement issues.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to implement department objectives effectively.
  • Experience in resolving customer inquiries and complaints professionally and promptly.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers and internal departments.
  • Extensive knowledge of budgeting, planning, forecasting, pricing, and estimating.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Significant experience in direct and channel sales in IFEC, avionics, or commercial aircraft cabin systems.
  • Demonstrable management experience with a proven track record of success.
