Accounts Payable Assistant
Location: Coventry, UKContract Type: 6 Months FTC
Working Hours: Full-Time Monday-Friday - Hybrid Working Available

About the role
Are you organised, detail-oriented, and passionate about managing supplier accounts? Join our Accounts Payable team to oversee supplier accounts, accurately process invoices, and resolve discrepancies with suppliers and internal teams. This role is ideal for someone keen to make an impact in a fast-paced, efficient financial environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of supplier accounts, ensuring accurate invoice processing and timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Validate invoices against approved purchase orders for the purchase of goods and services.
- Obtain and process VAT invoices to be allocated to direct debit payments on the appropriate accounts.
- Perform regular supplier statement reconciliations to ensure supplier accounts remain accurate and up to date.
Requirements:
- Experience managing a high volume of invoice transactions, focusing on accurate data entry, invoice validation and account reconciliation.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to effectively prioritise tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive, "can-do" attitude with excellent communication skills for liaising with suppliers and internal departments to resolve discrepancies and inquiries.
- Able to carry out supplier statement reconciliations, using excel and pivot tables to summarise the reconciliation and identify follow up actions.
