The opportunity
This role will play a crucial part in supporting both our Automation Technician and Applications Engineer. The individual will work on assembly tasks, workshop inventory tasks, subassembly testing and contribute to proactive improvement works.In addition, they will work closely with the Applications Engineer on managing all the activities related to managing and testing customer waste streams.
Responsibilities Overview- Running robot and airjet tests, recording footage, documenting results, and finetuning test setups in collaboration with Applications Engineers to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Managing the setup, footage recording and documenting the results of robot and airjet testing.
- Preparation of waste material for testing by learning the company’s data taxonomy and organising waste samples into taxonomy classifications.
- Ownership of workshop inventory, cleanliness and organisation.
- Involvement in the assembly, testing and installation of our QuantiSort and QualiBot offerings.
- Carrying out sorted scans.
- Problem solving mentality for mechanical engineering
- Willingness to get stuck in with hands-on waste in order to progress our product
- Experience with workshop tools
- Open to occasional travel within Europe
- Open to occasional weekend work (with time in lieu)
- Within a commutable distance from London to work in our Stratford office 5 days a week
- Good communication skills
- Full clean driving license
- Electrical of software knowledge
- Experience with power tools and how to use them safely
- Experience installing industrial equipment
