Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Family Support team member to join our organization in a Social Care Non-Qualified role. In this dynamic position, you will play a crucial part in providing support and guidance to families, ensuring they have access to the resources and assistance necessary to enhance their well-being and development.
You will work closely with families experiencing various challenges, including financial difficulties, interpersonal conflicts, and emotional distress, helping them navigate through these obstacles with empathy and understanding. As a Senior Family Support worker, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the strengthening of family units, promoting stability and resilience within the community.
Your role will involve collaborating with other social care professionals, local agencies, and community resources to create comprehensive support plans tailored to the specific needs of families. Additionally, you will be instrumental in implementing workshops and training sessions, empowering families with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive.

Responsibilities
Provide direct support and guidance to families in need of assistance.
Conduct assessments to identify the specific needs and challenges faced by families.
Develop and implement tailored support plans in collaboration with families and other stakeholders.
Facilitate workshops and training sessions for families to enhance their coping skills and resilience.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of family interactions and progress toward goals.
Collaborate with social service agencies and community organizations to connect families with resources and services.

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of support services provided to families.

Requirements
At least 3 years of experience in social care or a related field.
Strong understanding of family dynamics and the challenges faced by families.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with families.
Proven ability to assess the needs of families and develop effective support plans.
Experience in facilitating workshops and training sessions is preferred.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in record-keeping and reporting.

Hours Per Week: 36.00

Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £25.06

Location: Southwark, South East London
