We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Nursing Assistant to join our team on The Whalton Unit at Wansbeck General Hospital.
The Whalton Unit is a 22 bedded care of the elderly ward, which delivers care and rehabilitation to our in-patients.
Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, and have a keen interest in caring for the older person.- To work under the supervision of a qualified nurse and assist in the delivery of both direct and non-direct patient care.
- To provide and promote high quality care under the guidance of a qualified healthcare professional.
- Complete clinical tasks such as the taking and recording of observations.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team in meeting the holistic needs of the patient.
We also care for people in their homes and provide services from facilities in local communities such as health centres. We give people greater choice and control over their care to help them to live independently at home and avoid hospital admission where appropriate.
