Weekend Kitchen Porter- Private Patients | Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust - London
We are recruiting for a friendly, helpful and professional kitchen porter in our private patients ward at St Mary's Hospital Paddington,
We are looking for someone who can :
- Maintain the cleanliness of allocated area to the National Standards of healthcare cleanliness, Food safety, Health & Safety standards, Infection Control & Environmental Health.
- Be required to work as part of the team and answerable to chef & shift supervisor in supporting the high standards of care associated with the place of work.
- You will be required to handle sharp equipment and use chemicals to clean catering equipment responsibly, and within health and safety guidelines.
- You will be responsible for maintaining patient, staff and public safety through appropriate use of warning signage whilst cleaning.
- You are required to work on their own or as part of a team to deliver services as directed by policies, procedures and national standards which are monitored by supervisory staff.
- You will need to have a friendly and helpful manner and have a sensitive approach when dealing with patients and their families.
- We are looking for candidates who have good communication skills and have a caring attitude.
- Carry out any other reasonable requests as requested by the shift supervisor, chef and manager.
- Ensure all work undertaken is in line with food safety, allergen management, health & safety, security and Trust policies and procedures
- To provide a high quality service to patients, staff and visitors demonstrating high standards of customer service at all times.
- Keeping the catering areas clean & maintaining the high standards required.
- Collection, delivery & storage of goods & stock from nominated suppliers and other departments.
- Working along side the head chef, his team and the front of house team, hotel services team as well as other the clinic team in delivering the high standards set to achieve the service requirements
- Delivering in all areas as requested by the head chef and the management team
