Foodbank Stock Co-Ordinator

There is an ever-increasing need for the support our Foodbank provides in Exmouth, and to help us run this vital service we have created a new role of Foodbank Stock Co-ordinator.This is a genuine opportunity to provide hands-on support to your community. Working alongside our team of dedicated volunteers, you will be responsible for the delivery of a wide range of day-to-day duties to enable the successful operation of the Foodbank.
You will be responsible for ordering, receiving, and storing stock, as well as closely monitoring stock levels to ensure sufficient supply for customers against agreed budgets. You’ll build close working relationships with suppliers; and as you will complete relevant admin tasks including processing invoices, you must be computer literate with good experience of using Microsoft Office.
In order to be successful in this role, we also think that you will need to have previous experience of work involving the operational delivery of a customer facing service; and be able to show real compassion and understanding to all our Foodbank customers.Strong communication and interpersonal skills are therefore a must.
You will also be working in alignment with the missional objectives of the corps – our church - in Exmouth, so you would need to be able to work within our Christian ethos and values.If you have experience of working with volunteers, or access to a vehicle and a full clean driving licence, all the better; however these are not essential.
