Teacher of Geography
What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking to appoint, with effect from April 2025 or September 2025, an inspirational and enthusiastic teacher of Geography who has the ability to engage and enthuse children with a passion for the subject. We want our appointment to be an outstanding teaching practitioner with sound subject knowledge and a passion for teaching Geography.They would make connections with geography to the local area around us. The post holder will be expected to deliver courses to Key Stages 2 and 3 and engage with activities across the school.

Required for September 2025, a suitably qualified and experienced teacher to join the team at this highly regarded 9-13 Middle School with 600 pupils on roll.
The successful applicant will teach Geography to allocated groups throughout the 9-13 age range. They will have the capacity to rise to the demands of teaching Geography, providing high quality lessons to move pupils forward of varying abilities and enable all pupils to progress with their learning.Through their teaching and passion for the subject they will inspire pupils with enthusiasm for Geography, emphasising how important it is to modern day life.
We are looking for the successful candidate to bring the Geography curriculum to life. Teaching with skill, knowledge and passion that motivates and inspires pupils to want to study this subject further as they move into the next phase of education.
The successful candidate will also take responsibility for adding to the fantastic range of extra curricular activities we have on offer. They should complement and support the many clubs that pupils already benefit from.
The successful candidate will have the personal qualities and professional skills necessary to enthuse and motivate pupils, so that the highest standards of learning are attained and maintained in their lessons. They will be hard working, supportive and an effective member of the teaching team.
