Ward Receptionist (Ward 14 & Early Pregnancy Unit) | Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
We are currently looking for enthusiastic, highly motivated Receptionist to be part of our amazing ward 14 and early pregnancy unit team who provide high quality and safe care, and after our recent CQC visit, the Trust has been rated as ‘Good’ overall and ‘Outstanding’ for Care
To be successful you will need to demonstrate:- Have the ability to manage an ever-changing fast paced workload.
- Have excellent communication skills.
- Be able to manage and prioritise their workload.
- Have customer care experience
- Have IT skills
- Willingness to learn
- Able to commit to working over a 7 day pattern
We will provide you with a complete induction and support continuing development through yearly appraisals.
If you have the drive to provide an excellent patient experience and an enthusiasm for personal and service development within a clinical setting we are waiting to hear from you.
To provide a high quality service to the patients attending ward 14 and the early pregnancy Unit by providing an efficient reception service, arranging of appointments and associated preparations, thus contributing to a smooth running department.
To ensure accurate and timely collection of patient related data at ward level.
This will include; • patient admissions, transfers and discharges and the tracking of patient case notes, as well as- filing in case notes and their general tidiness.
- Work in close liaison with Ward Sister, staff and all visitors and multidisciplinary team members who visit the clinical areas.
- Greeting visitors to the area, dealing with telephone enquiries, and undertaking other clerical and reception duties in the clinical area
The overriding purpose is to support the provision of highest quality patient care through personal actions and continuous improvement.
NHS experience is preferred but not essential. Furthermore, they should have excellent computer literacy and a pleasant telephone manor.
