Job Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced English and Maths KS3 SEN Tutor to join our team in Bicknacre, Essex. As a tutor, you will be responsible for providing tailored support to Key Stage 3 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in English and Maths subjects.

Job Duties:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons in English and Maths to KS3 students with SEN.
  • Create individualised learning plans to meet the specific needs of each student.
  • Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
  • Provide feedback to students and their parents/guardians on progress and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other educators and support staff to ensure a holistic approach to student development.

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs.
  • Excellent knowledge of the KS3 English and Maths curriculum.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in a SEN setting.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Patience and empathy when working with SEN students.

Working Conditions:

This role is part-time, with flexible hours based on student needs. The work will be conducted in a learners home setting.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
