Job overview

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our Maternity unit in GUH .

This post will involve supporting midwives in the provision of care to women their families.

The successful candidates will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care gained in a Health & Social Care Setting.

Main duties of the job

Currently we are unable to provide certificates of sponsorship for this role as it does not meet the Home Office’s criteria. Anyone requiring a certificate of sponsorship is therefore unable to be shortlisted and interviewed

Applications are invited from Health Care Support Worker’s with good communication skills both written and verbal and who are committed to providing high standards of care for patients, their families.

Main duties to include supporting the Midwives in providing care to women and their babies.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

  • NVQ/QFC level 2 in health and social care OR equivalent demonstrable.

  • Able to undertake general observations
