Standard Working Arrangements are £22,369.00 Whole Time Equivalent pro-rated.

Derby Health Staffing aims to match suitably skilled workers with the staffing requirements of University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust.

We are looking for enthusiastic, caring individuals to join our bank, supporting our nurses in all aspects of Patient Care. You will have the opportunity of working in a variety of clinical areas across the Trust.

THIS VACANCY COVERS ALL 5 UHDB TRUST SITES:

  • Royal Derby Hospital
  • Florence Nightingale Community Hospital
  • Queens Hospital Burton
  • Samuel Johnson Hospital
  • Sir Robert Peel Community Hospital

It is essential that you have a qualification in Care.

Shortlisted applicants will undertake a literacy and numeracy assessment on . Please ensure you are available to attend, no alternative dates will be offered. You will be required to provide evidence of 6 months paid Healthcare Support Worker employment, please bring payslips and care qualification to your assessment on 5th&6th February 2025.

If you are unable to provide evidence in the form of payslips/timesheets/Care Qualification Certificate unfortunately we will have to turn you away on the day of assessment

If successful, interviews will be held on 12th February 2025

Main duties of the job

Successful candidates must be reliable, motivated and enthusiastic, be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and work within a multidisciplinary team. We are committed to the training and development of our workers; therefore, you will need to be able to attend training days required for your role.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

If you are a student nurse at one of the following universities: University of Derby, University of Nottingham and University of Wolverhampton and have completed at least one placement at UHDB please apply on our Student Nurse vacancy 320-DHS-STN-0165.

You will need to provide evidence of this placement by providing your professional values outcome during pre-employment checks. Please ensure you include all information on your UHDB placement history in your application form along with your University site and study dates or your application will not be considered.

  • A recognised care qualification, for example NVQ or Diploma

Experience

  • A minimum of 6 months recent paid experience working in a care environment within the UK
  • Understands the role of a Healthcare Support Worker and can evidence this in the application form
