The role:

Northwood College seeks an inspiring and impactful PE teacher to join our dynamic Physical Education Department. Working closely with our ambitious Director of Sport, they will help shape and deliver the curriculum from EYFS to KS5.

The successful candidate will be a passionate advocate for sport and physical education, eager to motivate NWC girls to strive for success, while fostering an appreciation for an active lifestyle.

As a flexible team player, they will support colleagues and contribute to the department’s extracurricular programme, including squads, clubs, and fixtures. The ability to coach multiple sports is essential, with expertise in one of our core sports (netball, football, hockey, badminton, gymnastics, dance, swimming, athletics, or cricket) being an advantage.

The Department:

The PE Department consists of a dedicated team of eight, led by an enthusiastic Director of Sport focused on fostering competitive sport and participation. We deliver the full PE curriculum from EYFS to KS5, including swimming and a variety of traditional and contemporary sports.

Academic courses include AQA GCSE and OCR A Level.

Our excellent facilities feature a large sports hall, a 25m indoor swimming pool, netball/tennis courts, an astro-turf pitch, a grass pitch, a long jump pit, and a 7m climbing wall with auto belays and a traversing section.

We offer an extensive extra-curricular programme, fielding teams in netball, swimming, hockey, badminton, dance, gymnastics, football, tennis, athletics, and cricket. The successful candidate should bring expertise in specific sports while supporting a broad range of other activities.

We compete in Hillingdon Borough leagues and independent school fixtures, providing students with high-level competitive opportunities.
