The role
Psychology is taught at A-Level by a team who are passionate about their subject and who support one another by sharing resources, strategies and responsibilities to ensure the continued smooth running of the department. The School follows the OCR course specification for Psychology.The department is extremely strong and are proud that year on year they attract a large number of students to study their subject. The department has always had a 100% pass rate and its success is due to engaging, enthusiastic and knowledgeable teachers with high expectations and standards, whom our highly able, stimulating and challenging learners respond very positively to.

About you
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a hard-working, strong teacher of A-Level Psychology, willing to contribute innovative ideas and initiatives to the team to develop the curriculum and to ensure continued success. This part-time maternity cover for one year (fixed period) in the first instance, is equally well-suited to an enthusiastic ECT with a thirst for learning and developing in their chosen career or a more experienced teacher looking for opportunity.Full-time hours may be considered for the right candidate wishing to teach a subsidiary subject. Founded in 1666 as the Blue Coat Hospital, today Sir Thomas Rich’s is a progressive grammar school for boys in Years 7 to 11, and young men and women in the sixth form. We are consistently one of the highest attaining schools in the county and we are proud of our long-standing reputation for academic and sporting excellence.GCSE results consistently come in the top 10% for attainment and value added in the country.
