Please note:

Due to enhanced background checks, this role is only suitable if you have continuously resided in the UK for the last 3 years.

Start Date:

1st October 2024

What's on Offer:

£12.00 per hour
Shift timing : 06:00am to 18:00pm or 18:00pm to 06:00am (You must be flexible to do both days and night shifts)
Shift pattern : Ad Hoc
Weekly Pay (every Friday).
Temp to Perm (performance-based)

Key duties:

To provide a visible security contact for colleagues, contractors, and visitors.
Booking in and out of all Vehicles entering and leaving the site.
Utilising CCTV systems to support the reduction of crime and stock loss.
The job is very customer orientated so being able to communicate via the telephone and face to face is vital. We use a tannoy for numerous requests and it must be clear and concise due to sometimes requesting a first aider to go to a specific location.
To deter theft, whether internal and/or external and other poor working practices.
To respond to any on site incident or request for assistance and maintain control until arrival of the Client, Emergency Services or Duty Manager.
To highlight all breaches of security procedures including internal and external crime.
Provide exceptional customer service by assisting passengers with their queries, offering guidance, and creating a welcoming and stress-free environment.

Requirements:

Must have a valid Full SIA badge.
You must have lived in the UK for 3 years or longer.
A positive, customer-centric attitude with a genuine desire to create a pleasant experience for all airport visitors.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm and aid in stressful situations.
Experience in a security or customer service role, preferably in an airport or similar environment.
Strong observational skills and attention to detail to effectively identify potential security risks.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations and adhere to strict security protocols.
Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods and perform routine security tasks.
Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends.
Must be over 18.
Must have continuously resided in the UK for the last 3 consecutive years.

PLEASE NOTE: As this position is in the aviation industry, successful applicants must be able to provide 5-year checkable history.
