We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable ESG & Safety Specialist to join our team and drive our initiatives in these critical areas.

The ESG & Safety Specialist will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and managing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategies, as well as workplace safety programs. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of ESG principles and safety regulations, capable of fostering a culture of sustainability and safety within the organisation.

The ESG & Safety Specialist will work closely with various departments to ensure compliance, promote best practices, and enhance the company’s reputation as a responsible and forward-thinking leader in the marketing and advertising industry.

ESG Strategy Role:

  • Lead ESG strategy aligned with company goals.
  • Monitor ESG trends and ensure compliance.
  • Manage sustainability, CSR, and governance programs.
  • Oversee ESG reporting and stakeholder communication.
  • Manage ISO certifications and participate in ESG initiatives.

Safety Management:

  • Implement and manage workplace safety protocols.
  • Perform audits, risk assessments, and incident analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Integrate ESG and safety across operations.
  • Engage with stakeholders on ESG/safety achievements.
  • Foster partnerships aligned with ESG/safety goals.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Drive innovation in ESG and safety practices.
  • Stay updated with ESG & safety trends.
  • Cultivate a culture of sustainability and safety.

The ESG & Safety Specialist will report into the Head of Health, Safety, Sustainability & Facilities.

Requirements
  • Recognised qualification within occupational health and safety such as NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
  • Recognised qualifications within Environment such as IEMA Certificate or equivalent.
ESG Related qualifications will be advantageous.
  • Proven experience in an ESG and or safety-related role, preferably within the marketing, advertising, or transferable industry.
  • Strong knowledge of ESG principles, sustainability practices, and safety regulations.
  • Experience of management systems such as ISO 14001, 50001 & SA8000 with internal auditor training being advantageous.
  • Knowledge of sustainability accreditation & rating schemes such as EcoVadis, CDP etc.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and project management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Willingness to travel as we are a global business.
