Such an opportunity is currently available at our inclusive and nurturing school that promotes family values and prepares children with skills for life through the delivery of a creative curriculum.

We require someone who upholds the values of our school, showing care, courtesy and consideration to our whole school community and is committed to the school vision and ethos of ‘Our seven steps to being a happy learner’.

You will need to be able to demonstrate your role as a ‘facilitator of learning’, utilising good observational skills enabling you to learn the behavioural patterns of the pupil, appreciating that we all learn in different ways and with the correct guidance and support, we can achieve our potential.

You will need to be a team player, dedicated, understanding, highly motivated and be able to work under the supervision and guidance of teaching staff. You will need to have outstanding skills, expertise and experience of a variety of learning and behavioural needs such as; ASD, ADHD, Demand Avoidance, Team Teach and support strategies but also be able to adapt using initiative to the ever changing and specific needs of the pupils you will be working with.

You will need to show a willingness to contribute to the planning of activities as well as the ability to follow and adapt support plans to meet the requirements of the pupils, including skills and strengths with SALT programmes and processes.

You will need excellent communication skills to effectively engage pupils in their learning and to also share appropriate and purposeful feedback with staff to support learning and high levels of emotional resilience.

You will also be required to promote integration of the pupil within the classroom and the wider school environment.

The role would be to work under the direct supervision and guidance of an experienced class teacher and our school SENDCo.

In return we can offer you a warm welcome, support and training to enable you to become part of the team. You will also achieve immense job satisfaction as you make a significant difference to the educational development of a child from our Warren Wood family.

We welcome visits to the school for those seriously interested in applying. This is a challenging yet rewarding role and we therefore respectfully request that applications are submitted from focused and committed individuals.

Please telephone the school office on 0161 456 8171 where we will be happy to answer any questions you may have. Otherwise, successful applicants will be invited to view the school at interview.
