Our Head Office Controlling Department is looking to recruit an analyst to join their Business Intelligence team. In this role you will support internal stakeholders and senior management by delivering outstanding insight to generate business value that exceeds stakeholder expectations.If you are excited to help build something new, with the support of the world’s fourth-largest retailer, we’d love to hear from you. As a Business Intelligence Analyst at Lidl your input will be crucial in driving business impact through data and insight.
The Business Intelligence function is tasked to support the whole business; therefore, you’ll be expected to work on diverse projects, which will impact decision making across the entire business.
What youll do- Work with our Controlling colleagues to provide support for all national departments by generating targeted reporting and analysis.
- Developing, testing, and implementing solutions such as reporting or tooling, to provide the business with the ability to gain insight from data.
- Gather, transform, and analyse data from various sources, both internal and external to create new insight.
- Utilise statistical methods to create predictive models as well as identify patterns and trends in data.
- Preparing and delivering solutions to effectively communicate trends and develop forecasts to the business.
- Define and support governance for new methods of data retrieval, through documentation and training of processes.
- Provide innovative reporting solutions including process improvements and automation.
- Manage your own projects end-to-end: defining requirements, conducting test cases, demonstrating value, and supporting implementationadoption.
- Communicate effectively with non-technical colleagues across the business to ensure understanding and trust in our solutions and insights.
- Take responsibility for achieving high technical standards so that your solutions are appropriate, comprehensible, well-structured, and reproducible.
- Advanced knowledge of VBA
- Knowledge of Python andor SQL desirable
- Curious, self-motivated, and proactive individual with a can-do attitude
- The ability to work on projects and solve problems independently
- Experience of project and stakeholder management
- The ability to liaise and communicate at both a technical and non-technical level
- Keen eye for detail and good quality control
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and to deliver accurate results
- Excellent presentation and communication (written and verbal) skills
- Ability to work well in a team
