Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the EHC assessment process in line with statutory timelines.Act as the named officer, collaborating with parents, carers, and professionals to ensure person-centered, legally compliant casework.
Handle complex cases and deliver difficult decisions using restorative approaches.
Resolve conflicts, chair conciliation meetings, and prepare for Tribunal SENDIST hearings when required.
Ensure appropriate provision and placement for children with SEND, including Looked After Children LAC.
Liaise with multi-agency partners to ensure seamless collaboration.
Key Requirements:
Previous experience working with children and young people with SEN.Extensive multi-agency working experience.
Knowledge of relevant SEND legislation, including the Children and Families Act 2014 and safeguarding practices.
Strong communication, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage high-pressure caseloads and complex multi-agency meetings.
Perks:
Rate: Up to £300 per day.Hybrid role: Only 1 day per week in the office; work from home the rest of the time.
