Job Title: Year 2 General Teaching Assistant - Chorley

Salary:

£12.90 - £13.50 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Assist the Year 2 teacher in delivering lessons and activities.
  • Support with classroom management and student behaviour.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students with learning difficulties.
  • Prepare and set up classroom resources and materials.
  • Supervise students during breaks and lunch periods.

Required Qualifications:

  • Level 2 or equivalent Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Enhanced DBS check.

Education:

GCSEs in English and Maths.

Experience:

Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Familiarity with the National Curriculum for Year 2.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Patience and flexibility in supporting students with varying needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • First Aid certification.
  • Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a busy primary school environment, collaborating with teachers and students. The working hours are Full-Time, and the role is temporary in nature. The successful candidate may be required to assist with additional duties as needed.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
