IT Support Specialist I

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a IT Support Specialist I to join the Starline Team in Reading, UK. The Support Specialist position will provide technical support to company employees.
What Will You Do?- Provide direct technical support for end users in the Legrand Data, Power, and Control Reading, UK site and remote technical support for global sites and users
- Provide technical support for manufacturing operations, including Windows computers, OT systems, and IoT devices
- Liaise with IT functional experts to ensure correct support is provided
- Support general hardware and software technical issues.
- Maintain and repair computer and peripheral devices
- New employee setup, deployment and onboarding
- Maintain inventory of IT equipment
- Install and configure software on machines
- Manage cybersecurity vulnerabilities and partner with other IT staff and business users regarding cybersecurity initiatives
- Arrange maintenance and repairs from vendors
- Purchase and provision of IT supplies
- Other various duties as necessary or assigned
Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Proven IT experience supporting end users and computers
- Preferred experience supporting Windows servers and networks
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment, while managing multiple priorities
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Customer service orientation; strong interpersonal skills
- Skilled at resolving complex problems
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Self-motivated and self-directed
- Associates Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience
- Two years IT user support experience
- Ability to lift 25 pounds
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
