We have an exciting opportunity for a Community Team Manager has arisen with Ipswich Adult Community Mental Health Team, based at Mariner House, Ipswich.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join our team. A key aspect of this role is providing clinical and operational leadership to the Team, including line management responsibilities, and ensuring effective governance processes.You will be responsible for ensuring effective service delivery. As Community Team Manager you will have a key part to play in the overall development of our service and clinical practice.
Main duties of the job
Responsible for the operational management of the service delivery within the service. Provide visible leadership, promoting a values based culture and acting as a role model within the environment
Responsible for leading and managing the team, ensuring they are suitably trained, informed and competent to carry out the full range of their duties, and that mechanisms are in place for regular and effective supervision, appraisal, objective setting and personal development planning.
Demonstrates a clear understanding within the service of service user needs and care requirements. Contribute to MDT decisions regarding care based on their knowledge and expertise.
Ensure care is delivered in a patient centred framework involving service users, families and carers. Ensure that service user and carer feedback contributes to the development and improvement of the service.
Ensure that the team practices within the trusts policies, protocols and standards, including NICE guidance where possible, including the reporting of complaints and incidents.
Ensure effective systems are in place to embed learning and continuous improvements from incidents and complaints.
Ensure that tasks and responsibilities are effectively, fairly and evenly distributed within the team to provide effective and responsive care for service users and carers

Experience
Essential criteria- Able to demonstrate experience at a senior clinical level including staff management / supervision experience.
- Evidence of providing leadership in a Mental Health care environment including service development.
- Previous experience of working with Complex case management.
Qualifications
Essential criteria- RMN DIP SW, DIP OT or Equivalent
- Ongoing professional development working towards degree level

The Trust has now introduced a DBS Update Service which is a contractual requirement. You need to subscribe when you have applied for your DBS clearance and there is a time limit to subscribe of 19 days after receipt of your DBS disclosure. Please ensure that this is completed within the set time scale.
This update service is an annual subscription at a cost of £16 to you. This will enable the Trust to have instant online access to your DBS record, with your consent, and so will remove the need for you to have to apply for this repeat check again.
