We are seeking a Finance Assistant for our Richmond office. In this role, you will support the Financial Manager and Finance team with account reconciliation and handling, along with other finance-related duties.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and capture all respective financial data and ensuring data integrity is maintained.
- Provide documentation and support during internal and external audits.
- Provide support in user testing, design and implementation of new internal controls, processes, and applications.
- Maintain and verify supplier master data, accounting, and banking applications.
- Maintain up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Post relevant transactions and reconcile bank statements with the company's financial records to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
- Prepare weekly cash flow forecast ready for Manager’s review.
- Maintain an organized and efficient electronic filing system.
- Identifies issues, risks and improvement opportunities related to team processes.
- Identify and recommend opportunities to improve the team’s financial impact on the ground.
- Keep stakeholders informed about progress on the resolution of issues or queries in alignment with delivery standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve any payment or invoicing issues.
- Continuously assess own performance, seek timely and clear feedback and request training where appropriate.
- Proactively obtain inputs to enable timely issuing of sales invoices.
- Focus on accuracy and keen attention to detail to post relevant transactions to the Purchase Ledger and process expenses
- 1 to 2 years relevant work experience.
- Relevant 3-year degree/diploma - Desirable
