Operations Manager - Passenger Assistance - Luton Airport

Optime Group working in partnership with a well-known Ground Handling Client located at Luton Airport, who are looking for a proactive and dedicated Operations Manager to support the Passenger Assistance contract at Luton Airport.

About the role:

You will be reporting to the Station Manager, you will help oversee the day-to-day running of passenger assistance operations, ensuring that passengers with reduced mobility (PRM) and other passenger assistance needs receive efficient, high-quality support.

You will work closely with the team to maintain smooth operations and deliver an excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing the daily passenger assistance services, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
  • Support the Station Manager in monitoring team performance and delivering excellent service to passengers with reduced mobility and special assistance needs.
  • Help train and motivate staff, promoting a positive work environment and high service standards.
  • Coordinate with airlines, airport authorities, and ground teams to ensure seamless communication and service delivery.
  • Assist in resolving operational challenges and ensuring any service disruptions are handled promptly and effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with PRM regulations and service protocols.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in airport operations, passenger assistance, or a similar service role.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage daily tasks and support staff in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and passengers.
  • Understanding of PRM regulations and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Problem-solving abilities and the flexibility to manage operational challenges as they arise.
