About the Role:Hays are looking for a qualified and experienced Interim Management Accountant to join a local government organisation in the Devon area. This role offers a competitive daily rate and the flexibility of hybrid working. This role is to start ASAP.

Key Responsibilities:

• Year-End Support: Assist the Finance Manager with year-end processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
• Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.
• Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to ensure financial efficiency and compliance.

Requirements:

• Qualifications: Must be a qualified finance professional (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA).
• Experience: Proven experience in local government finance is essential, with a strong background in year-end processes.
• Skills: Excellent analytical, communication, and organisational skills.
