SHOP SUPERVISOR

These duties include but are not limited to cleaning and straightening the sales floor and production areas by sweeping, mopping, washing and/or dusting as needed.

Also, attend to store safety conditions as determined by our policy, perform necessary record keeping and reporting of money in an accurate and timely manner, maintain a high level of confidentiality, and be responsible for other duties as assigned.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Supervise functions such as: goods inwards/outwards, storage to proper location and issue receipts.
2. Responsible to Health and Safety at work while performing duties.
3. Understanding the requirements of the business while shift handovers.
4. Maintain a pleasant and calm approach, whilst dealing with products sales and challenging customer identity.
5. Responsible for banking transactions and accounts.
6. Handle cash register, sales, pricing, and inventory.
7. Perform housekeeping duties, including cleaning the sales floor.
8. Supervise the CCTV operation and report any issues.
9. Supervising the post office transactions and maintaining confidentiality.
10. Maintain a high level of confidentiality and responsibility for duties as assigned.
11. Position may perform some or all the duties described above.
12. Provide daily updates about the business to the owners and training staff members on ad hoc basis.
13. Supervising and helping other staff wherever necessary

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Experience retail trade with at least 6 months experience in supervising a retail shop.
2. Experience using a till cash register, pay station system, secure paying machine.
3. Ability to communicate effectively in English (must), Hindi(preferred), Gujarati(preferred) verbally and written, to cater all customers’ needs and requirements.
4. Able to calculate and execute basic accounting and cash control procedures.
5. Basic judgment skills to determine the value of goods.
6. Basic computer skills with Microsoft office and internet savvy.
7. Above all the candidates should be Trustworthy, should be accountable and responsible while performing the duties on job.

JOB TYPE: Full-time, permanent. 37.5 hours per week.
