As Busy Bees continues to grow across the globe, we’re looking for an experienced and driven Group Manager of Risk and Internal Audit to join our team. This is a high-impact, senior role working closely with the Director of Risk and Internal Audit to strengthen our audit and risk framework across a large international, multi-site organisation.
You’ll be leading internal audits with support from co-sourced teams, covering a wide range of financial, operational, and compliance areas, such as finance, IT, safeguarding, health & safety and capital projects.
We are looking for someone who is comfortable working with consultants, shaping audit scopes, leading audit delivery, and supporting the Director with reports to the Audit Committee. On top of that, you’ll partner with our Finance team to lead the selection and implementation of a new risk and controls tool, helping us embed it across the Group so we can monitor and manage our controls more effectively in real time.

Role Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities- Support the development of the annual risk-based audit plan.
- Lead and deliver a portfolio of audits to a high standard, on time, and in line with KPIs.
- Identify and prioritise key risks, using strong judgment and thorough testing.
- Assess the effectiveness of business processes, highlight control gaps, and suggest improvements.
- Bring a commercial lens—spot efficiency and cost-saving opportunities.
- Provide practical, value-adding recommendations, backed by root cause analysis.
- Communicate regularly with leadership to ensure transparency and progress.
- Create clear, concise audit reports—using data and visuals to bring findings to life.
- Manage audit actions through to resolution, ensuring accountability and risk mitigation.
- Act as a trusted advisor on steering groups and governance committees.
- Continuously improve audit practices across the function and business.
- Oversee co-sourced and third-party audit support, including specialist and language-specific audits.
- Work with external auditors to align efforts, strengthen controls, and drive efficiencies.
- Lead ad hoc investigations or projects requested by the Group CFO or Audit Committee Chair.
- Represent Internal Audit as a centre of excellence for best practice in risk and controls.
- Own and enhance the Group’s risk management framework.
- Prepare and maintain the Group risk register
- Support proactive risk identification and challenge management perspectives.
- Build a deep understanding of Group operations to surface key risks and exposures.
- Advise senior leadership on strategic and operational improvements to control risk.
- Lead a cross-functional project (with Finance) to select, implement, and embed a risk and controls tool to track and monitor control effectiveness across the Group.
Required Qualifications:
Experience & Qualifications- At least 5 years of post-qualification experience, ideally with time at a top 10 consultancy.
- A proven track record in internal audit, risk, and controls within a large international organisation.
- A degree-level education and a recognised professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CA, IIA, CISA, Risk qualification, or similar).
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally—approximately 20% of the time.
- Deep understanding of audit, risk management principles, and control frameworks.
- Strong planning, organisational, and project management skills.
- Hands-on approach to fieldwork, reporting, and working alongside the Director.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels across the business.
- Detail-oriented yet commercially aware—able to balance strategic risk thinking with practical solutions.
- Trusted to handle confidential information with care, integrity, and discretion.
- A natural problem-solver with an analytical mindset and a focus on value creation.
- Experience with data analytics tools such as Power BI (or similar) would be desirable.
