About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Library and Learning Services Student Engagement team based in Catalyst at the heart of the Ormskirk Campus. You will work as part of a team of Academic Skills Advisors to deliver a positive impact on the student experience at Edge Hill.
Your main duties and responsibilities will include:
Providing one-to-one appointments for students to support and develop their academic skills, including academic writing, information literacy and general study skills.Designing and delivering workshops, webinars and classroom-based academic skills sessions to small and large groups.
Developing flexible, interactive and accessible digital learning materials for students to access at their convenience, in a way that suits them.
Collaborating with academic and professional services staff to embed academic skills support within the curriculum and ensure successful student transitions.
Raising visibility of academic skills support through promotional and supportive digital communication campaigns, contributing to evaluation activities using feedback and data to improve and enhance student satisfaction and attainment.

About You
As an Academic Skills Advisor, you will have:
Experience of providing academic skills support to students in Further and/or Higher Education environment.A student-centred approach with a commitment to enhancing student success, confidence and autonomy.
Strong digital skills with the ability to develop interactive learning materials and deliver online support via various platforms.
Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage projects, deliver presentations and work effectively as part of a busy team.
