Night Time Support Worker

You will be working for a leading provider of children’s care services, based in South West London.
Your new role
As a Waking Night Support Worker you will work between the hours of 20:30 – 08:30 on a Continental-style ‘Three on/Three off' pattern; Your main responsibility will be to provide practical and emotional support to vulnerable residents, whilst preparing regular Risk Assessments and working to existing Support Plans.You will help your clients to remain safe at all times, monitor their wellbeing and refer onto more specialist staff where required. The role may require you to work with some children who have Complex Needs and exhibit signs of challenging behaviour.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A RESIDENTIAL ROLE AND, AS SUCH WILL ENTAIL WORKING OCCASIONAL WEEKENDS
What you'll need to succeed
You will need previous experience working with vulnerable children and understand the issues affecting those between the ages of 12–18, ideally within a residential environment. You will also need to be confident when dealing with individuals with challenging behaviour and proficient at using Microsoft packages, with excellent teamwork skills, demonstrating both collaboration and respect with peers and customers.
