Weymouth - C++ Software Engineer
Collaborate with top-tier engineers and contribute to projects that drive technological advancements in defence, aerospace, energy, and automotive sectors.
Location: Dorset, with 3+ days on-site per week
Clearance Requirement: Sole UK National, SC Clearable
Key Responsibilities- Develop and optimize C++ software for non-embedded signal processing systems, ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Transition algorithms from MATLAB to C++, enhancing processing capabilities for RADAR and Sonar applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and test cutting-edge underwater signal processing solutions.
- Contribute to the integration, testing, and debugging of systems in a Linux-based development environment.
- Participate in system validation activities, leveraging waterside test facilities for real-world testing scenarios.
- Stay up to date with advancements in maritime technology to incorporate innovative approaches into project development.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in C++ development (6+ years experience).
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in a relevant field or a UK military technical background.
- Experience with Linux-based environments and non-embedded systems.
- Background in signal processing engineering with a focus on RADAR and Sonar technologies.
- Expertise in transitioning algorithms from MATLAB to C++.
- Must be a Sole UK National and SC-clearable due to the nature of the work.
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of maritime systems, sonar technology, or underwater environments.
- Familiarity with test and integration facilities and system validation practices.
