Key responsibilities include:

• Manage all elements of geotechnical and geological engineering for Future Water (as Principal Contractor).
• Review and integrate specifications, drawings and reports that are submitted for review by designers.
• Advise on additional ground investigations (GI) and manage specialist consultants to ensure optimal solutions are selected.
• Analyse geotechnical data produced throughout the works, and report on data/findings where required.
• Aid with leading (support Design Manager(s)) geotechnical design processes, ensuring timely delivery of design information to

• Recording the quality of works to a suitable level of detail in accordance with the specification, ITP and Quality Management

• Supporting the undertaking of testing on completed works – supporting the site lab and Quality Manager to facilitate in-situ

• Identify defects with works, confidence to stop the works and knowledge to get defect resolved quickly and effectively with

• Supporting the Quality Manager, and wider QA team with production of QA documents such as ITPs, and support with the reviewing

• Review classification of excavated material on site to ensure compliance with the specification.
• Working with project management and engineering staff to improve the quality of work on site. And suggest possible improvements

• Liaising with the designers and client supervisors, including the Panel engineer where required.
• Promoting health and safety on site.
• Helping to ensure works are completed to programme.

What we are looking for:

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in a geotechnical or design management role within a civil engineering environment.
• Experience with working on reservoirs beneficial however not essential.
• Ideally with a minimum of 5 years' experience.
• Proactive in highlighting and efficiently resolving non-conformance testing result.
• Excellent record keeping skills, knowledge of the AutoDesk Construction Cloud Platform is preferable.
• Strong communication skills and ability to discuss technical aspects with other technical and non-technical individuals.
• Good understanding of Specification for Highway works.
• Good understanding of Quality within the Construction process.
• Relevant qualifications including CSCS Card.
• Strong knowledge of HSQE regulations.
• Computer literacy with good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and other Microsoft Office programmes.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Self-motivated and able to work in a team and by themselves.
• Site based hours.
• Full UK Driving Licence is also required.
