Multiskilled Operative/ Forklift Driver

As a Multiskilled Packaging Operative, you will be responsible for controlling, verifying, printing, issuing, and recording labels for production, ensuring accuracy and compliance with customer specifications. You will also manage packaging for production, maintaining stock levels and ensuring timely availability.

Key Responsibilities:

Move packaging around the site using appropriate MHE equipment.
Receive packaging deliveries and complete associated paperwork.
Report packaging discrepancies, quality issues, and potential shortages.
Control data entry and verification of labels.
Communicate product database issues to relevant stakeholders.
Print, produce, and issue labels according to specifications.
Maintain administrative records for label traceability.
Ensure printers and scanners are maintained and available.
Continuously seek process improvements and report to the Packaging Manager.
Issue correct packaging per job requirements and record movements.
Maintain high standards of health, safety, hygiene, and housekeeping.

Adhere to relevant customer, industry, and legislative standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

Experience with Prophet ERP system (preferable).

Knowledge of packaging and fresh produce.

Reach Truck licence
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet challenging deadlines.
Strong planning, organisational, and team-working skills.
Attention to detail and analytical thinking.

Flexibility, initiative, and a drive for excellence.
