Job overview
Are you an experienced administrator in search of a new challenge? Within Specialist Children's Community Services, we are looking to recruit a Team Coordinator to support the countywide children's speech and language teams.
You must be highly motivated and able to communicate and organise effectively.
The post holder will provide a consistent, efficient service to the children, young people, their families and team members in the context of a diverse and varying workload.
Main duties of the job
To co-ordinate the service provided by the clinical team on a daily basis to ensure that the commissioned service is delivered.
To ensure that all administrative processes including clinical administrative processes are delivered across the speech and language therapy teams.
The post holder will assist in the development of the service, including audit tools, patient outcome reports and completion of audits.
To line-manage the clinical Admin Team including completion of Supervision/Appraisals

Education/Qualifications
Essential criteria- NVQ level 3 in administration or equivalent and substantial relevant experience
- Good basic education including English and Maths
- Management/Leadership training / qualification
- Health and Safety training (eg IOSH)
Experience
Essential criteria- Evidence of a substantial experience of administrative work in a health setting
- Experience of co-ordinating a service or team
- Previous experience in a community setting
- Experience of co-ordinating the delivery of training to others
Skills and Aptitude
Essential criteria- Innovative approach to problem solving
- Excellent IT skills. Word / Excel / email / Powerpoint / internet
- Ability to organise and plan own workload
Knowledge and abilities
Essential criteria- A working knowledge of services delivered to children and families
- Ability to maintain focus and deliver on work required
- Able to develop and maintain communication with people about difficult matters and / or in difficult situations
- Evidence of recent continuous development
- Ability to organise meetings and take minutes
- Accuracy with attention to detail
- Ability to react quickly to changing demands and circumstances
