Housing Team Manager

Ensuring that Second Step managed properties are maintained and serviced to agreed standards in line with management agreement responsibilities, and that value for money is achieved in the procurement of these services in accordance with Second Steps policies.
Acting as Second Steps expert on housing management and associated legal requirements, providing advice to the Housing Team and other colleagues and drawing on relevant housing related qualifications and previous sector experience. Ensuring a pro-active approach to turnaround of void units to enable the Team to meet its targets.
Ensuring an effective response to breaches of tenancy and anti-social behaviour issues, and take the lead in progressing Notice and possession proceedings in liaison with solicitors and partner housing associations. Liaising closely with Finance colleagues in monitoring expenditure against budget, agreeing service charge changes and co-ordinating the process for the annual rent increases.
