The Fleet Workshop Controller will manage the fleet workshop facility, ensuring efficiency and quality of workmanship.
Key Accountabilities: What awaits you?- Plan the daily workload of technicians to maximize workshop efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Ensure business targets are met, oversee workshop operations, mentor associates, and identify training needs.
- Safeguard work quality, provide feedback to improve plant quality.
- Procurement of workshop equipment, materials, supplies, and parts.
- Ensure warranty claims are submitted on time and invoicing of closed job cards.
- Implement regular quality meetings and ensure smooth workshop operations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, including Health & Safety and Environmental.
- Act as liaison between workshop and ML-V function to reduce warranty costs.
- Support regional staff, customer relations, and dealer for customer vehicle repairs.
- Further develop DMS to prepare reports on workshop figures.
- Plan and execute vehicle upgrade process with plant and sales departments.
- Develop workshop facilities to meet increasing demands.
- Provide customer advisory and maintain high levels of customer service.
- Manage workshop performance to achieve KPI targets.
- Manage and plan workshop/support resources to fulfill work requirements.
- Support the department team and ensure timely completion of all work.
- Analyze procedures and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- E University degree in automotive engineering or related field.
- Professional experience in automotive workshop management.
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance processes.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in using relevant software and IT systems.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Competitive hourly rate along with annual performance related bonus
