Assistant Site Manager - Manchester

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Site Manager in overseeing day-to-day site operations, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and tradespeople, ensuring work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Monitor project progress and report any delays or issues to the Site Manager.
• Ensure all site documentation is up to date, including daily reports, site records, and risk assessments.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to project specifications and quality standards.
• Assist in managing site logistics and materials, ensuring that materials are available and delivered on time.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders, including internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Promote a strong culture of safety on site, ensuring safe working practices are always followed.
• Support in managing the project’s progress, reporting on key milestones and addressing any challenges that arise.

Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience in construction or a similar site management role is essential.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and site management practices.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with subcontractors, clients, and internal teams.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize work.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet when issues arise.
• A proactive and adaptable attitude with a strong desire to learn and develop in the role.

Qualifications:

• A construction-related qualification (e.g., HNC, HND, or similar) is preferred but not essential.
• CSCS card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) is essential.
• First Aid at Work certification
