Marketing Manager
Location - Harwell (Hybrid working available)
Salary Range £50,000 - £60,000 per annum, dependent on experience
This position is full time, working 37.5 hours a week Monday – Friday, based in our modern offices in Harwell Science Park, near Didcot. We can be flexible with start and finish times, and these can be 8.00am – 4.00pm, 8.30am – 4.30pm or 9.00am – 5.00pm.

Your role:
Due to business growth, we are looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to our friendly and supportive marketing team here at SMS Environmental. This is an exciting opportunity for you to support development of our marketing strategy for the business, as well as being responsible for managing and developing a direct report.
You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing campaigns to drive lead generation, sales pipeline growth, and revenue for the company. You will also be required to utilise HubSpot proficiently to support and optimise marketing and sales activities, as well as develop and implement strategic B2B marketing campaigns to drive brand awareness, lead generation, and business growth.This will include producing and directing multi-channel campaigns across print, web, and social platforms.
Requirements
Essential:
- Experience in B2B marketing, with a proven track record of driving revenue through strategic campaigns
- Experience with HubSpot, including certification, and a deep understanding of CRM systems and marketing automation
- Strong understanding of professional marketing technology stack/tools (e.g., CRM, Google Analytics, SEM tools), and design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), video production/editing tools, and Canva
- Experience managing and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns, including email, social media, and content marketing
- Prior experience managing, developing and reviewing performance of at least 1 direct report
- Exceptional communication and technical copywriting skills, with a keen eye for detail and maintaining tone of voice
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise based on business needs
- Ability to stay up-to-date with market trends and emerging technologies
- Ability to analyse data and present actionable insights to stakeholders, including the CMO
- Educational qualifications to Degree Level or equivalent
- Demonstrable Hubspot Courses - Certified
Desirable:
- Experience in managing third-party vendors for creative, design, and digital marketing services.
- Strong technical knowledge, experience and training within Industrial Water Treatments, Water hygiene services or closed systems
- Higher level education (MSc or equivalent) in Marketing Desirable
