Respiratory support unit and respiratory ward is looking to recruit motivated Healthcare Assistants in a permanent position. We are a 42 bedded ward who provide support to patients who have respiratory diseases including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma, pleural effusions, bronchiectasis and many other respiratory diseases.

We are looking for the committed, compassionate and caring people that want to make a positive difference to peoples lives.
  • Communicate with patients and their visitors in order to promote their comfort and well-being
  • Communication with other members of the organisation and respond appropriately.
  • Assist with admission, transfer and discharge of patients.
  • Make unoccupied beds and occupied beds.
  • Assist patients out of bed, helping with dressing and undressing as required.
  • Assist with manual handling and transferring of patients complying with the Trust
  • Moving and Handling policy
  • Under direction of trained nurse, assist with the treatment/management of patients with insect infestations.
  • Report Accidents/incidents to nurse in charge and complete appropriate Trust forms.
  • Chaperone Medical Staff.
