Sellick Partnership is currently recruiting for a Service Charge Legal Officer to join the Homeownership Team at a Local Authority in London.
This is an exciting opportunity as you'll be the sole Legal Officer in the team dealing with legal enforcement action for service charges, meaning you'll have autonomy over your work and receive minimal supervision over your caseload.
Duties include:
- Deal with all enforcement matters, including s146 notices
- Prepare statements of cost for enforcement cases
- Issue claims for outstanding charges
- Draft legal implications for reports to committees
- Attend tribunals and undertake advocacy
- Provide legal advice, assistance and guidance to the Council's Homeownership Team
The client is ideally seeking candidates who have experience dealing with service charge cases and can do so independently.
The successful Service Charge Legal Officer will be required to attend the office three times per week. The office is well located, with many nearby transport links, ensuring a reliable commute to the office from London and surrounding areas.
