We’re continually investing in our people, processes, and plants to ensure we push the boundaries within our sector!We’re recruiting for a Production Planner to join our busy Central Planning Function in Elland supporting our Bricks & Masonry business.
So, what's the mission?Your mission is to create production plans that deliver on time and in full customer orders! This will include converting the demand plan into production requirements, ensuring safety stock levels are balanced, and you have considered the efficient use of labour for the site.
You’ll need a keen eye for detail whilst you manage out-of-stock reporting, which is critical in managing any impact on our customers and ensuring our sites deliver to budget.
Working across the breadth of our diverse company, you will collaborate with a whole host of different departments, including sales and site management teams. This will require great communication skills and a passion to be a part of a proud and ambitious workforce!
This is a hybrid role which means you will split your time working from home and office, we are open to whether that's our main HQ in Elland or one of our Bricks and Masonry sites (Maltby, Ranskill, Sheffield).
What are the mission-critical skills?
It’s a big mission that will certainly give you lots of opportunities to expand on your experiences and provides opportunities to bring your own ideas.- Excellent knowledge of Excel and ability to convert complex data into simple information
- Experience as a Demand/Inventory/Production Planner in an automated manufacturing company but if you're an internal candidate, Marshalls experience would be very welcomed!
- Excellent communication, written and influencing skills
- Highly analytical and numerical
- Experience with MRP/D365 systems is an advantage.
- Experience in working with large numbers of SKUs would be great.
