Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and self-motivated Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our specialist children's physiotherapy service. Based at Kaleidoscope, a purpose-built Children and Young People's Centre, this role serves the diverse population of Lewisham.

You will provide proactive clinical physiotherapy services to children and young people (0-19 years) with neurodevelopmental conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality physiotherapy interventions for children under five and assess/treat school-age children on an episode-of-care pathway.
  • Collaborate in special schools to support children with complex needs.
  • Provide postural management, neurodevelopmental interventions, and recommend/use specialist equipment and orthotics.
  • Develop individualized care plans and contribute to multi-disciplinary team discussions.
  • Support children and families in managing long-term conditions effectively.

Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy and current HCPC registration.
  • Minimum 6 months of NHS experience is mandatory.
  • Proven experience in pediatric physiotherapy, particularly in neurodevelopmental interventions.
  • Knowledge of postural management, specialist equipment, and orthotics.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team to deliver care in diverse settings.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills to liaise effectively with children, families, and other professionals.
