Teaching Assistant – Durham

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work in primary and secondary schools across Durham. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual looking to support pupils and gain valuable experience in an educational setting.

Role Overview:

  • Supporting teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons
  • Providing one-to-one and small group support to pupils
  • Assisting with classroom management and pupil engagement
  • Supporting children with SEN, EAL, or additional learning needs where required
  • Encouraging a positive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

  • A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
  • Previous experience working with children in a school setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A passion for supporting children’s learning and development
  • A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
