Inspire Resourcing are working closely with our client in Sheffield who are on the lookout for a Buyer to join the team.This is a fantastic opportunity for an induvial with excellent analytical skills, who has a background in liaising with suppliers.
Main duties:- Conduct research to identify the best available products and potential vendors
- Select vendors that meet technical, quality and commercial requirements, ensuring selection conforms to the company's purchasing strategy
- Invite prospective vendors to bid, ensuring that all customer requirements are effectively communicated
- Analyse vendor offers to ensure their viability and to identify any potential risks
- Liaise with vendors to maintain strong relationships to ensure that they are providing the best possible levels of support
- Maintain an accurate and up to date vendor database for Commercial projects
- Drive automation and simplification within our processes
- Accept direct responsibility for the completion of projects in line with agreed priorities and deadlines
- Have experience of working in a demanding and fast-paced distribution environment
- Be confident, with excellent interpersonal skills
- Have excellent MS Office skills
