Cape Clarke is currently recruiting for a Paralegal Supervisor position with a leading national law firm. The firm’s Credit Hire team is looking to hire up to six Supervisors for their Birmingham office on a permanent basis.

The Team

These roles are within the Insurance sector, specifically focusing on Credit Hire & Damage. The team handles pre-litigation and litigation work for over 40 insurers and self-insurers, managing nearly 20,000 claims annually. The caseload includes complex claims and protocols across areas such as criminal motor defence, motor fraud, injury, recoveries, and credit hire.

The Role

You will oversee a team of five Paralegals, each managing their own caseloads. Your responsibilities will include providing day-to-day support, personal management, and ensuring team targets are achieved. You will also manage a small caseload of 20-30 cases, with plans to reduce this over time.

The Ideal Candidate

Candidates should have at least 2 years of paralegal experience in handling pre-litigated and litigated claims. Experience in credit hire, personal injury, motor fraud, or general motor liability (either defendant or claimant) is highly desirable.
