As a Paralegal in our Credit Hire team, you will play a critical role in supporting our solicitors and clients through the litigation process. You will manage a caseload of credit hire files, assisting with all stages of litigation, from case preparation through to resolution.This role is ideal for a motivated, detail-oriented professional with a background in litigation, who is looking to grow their career in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of credit hire litigation files, including pre-litigated and litigated matters.
- Conduct legal research and prepare case summaries, reports, and documentation.
- Draft and review court documents, pleadings, and correspondence.
- Assist solicitors in the preparation of trial bundles and witness statements.
- Monitor case deadlines and ensure timely responses to court orders and client inquiries.
- Liaise with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel professionally and effectively.
- Provide administrative support as needed, ensuring all documentation is accurate and well-organized.
What will help you succeed in this role? :
Essential- Previous experience in litigation, ideally within credit hire or personal injury.
- Proven ability to manage a busy caseload and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in legal research and case management software.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- A legal qualification (e.g., LPC, law degree) or relevant experience is preferred.
