Overview:

Are you an experienced Buyer with a knack for sourcing cost-effective solutions and building strong supplier relationships?
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Buyer to join our Procurement team. In this role, you will support our internal customers by providing a proactive approach to obtaining the goods and services required to drive business success.

Responsibilities:

What You’ll Do:

  • - Negotiate Best Solutions: Identify the best total cost solutions for your assigned categories.
  • Cost Savings Delivery: Drive and deliver cost-saving initiatives that align with departmental targets.
  • Lead Procurement Projects: Take the lead on category-specific procurement projects, from identifying opportunities to running tenders, analysing benefits, and implementing solutions.
  • Supplier Management: Support supplier rationalization initiatives, conduct supplier audits (medium risk/medium value), and hold quarterly supplier reviews.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Support the Procurement Manager with data gathering for strategic projects and use Excel to analyse data to identify opportunities.
  • Maintain Procurement Systems: Set up and maintain part numbers in our procurement system and handle non-conformance forms.

Qualifications:

What You’ll Bring:

  • Procurement Experience: Previous experience in a procurement role, demonstrating the ability to negotiate cost-effective solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build positive relationships internally and externally.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, to analyse procurement data.
  • Negotiation & Category Management: Proven experience in managing categories and a strong understanding of procurement processes.
  • Problem-Solving Attitude: A proactive, can-do approach with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • CIPS Certification: Level 4 CIPS or a willingness to pursue CIPS certification is beneficial.
  • ERP systems: Familiarity with ERP systems.
